The basic plot is that a boy crosses some plants and comes up with his own spieces of a venus fly trap, which at first seems to be a source of great riches. However by the end of the movie, more than one strange thing happens because of this plant. Very funny, some actual good acting going on and features a young Jack Nicholson in his first role (as the dental patient who likes pain). Far superior to the musical film from the 80s. It was intresting as a fan of the Musical to see the original and though there are some parralles this one in my opinion was far more comedic.
