Very dark film, didn't they have electricity back then? 
The last scene, all those policemen in weird uniform storming the artists house, I wonder how they didn't step on each other's hats, made me laugh. just like some modern cop flik.

This has been quoted as being John's favourite role, and this nice guy/serial killer is certainly a meaty character to portray. I just found the whole thing a little dull, but well acted. 1h 10mins. This print seems to be a VHS transfer, but it's not too bad. Video 8 Sound 8.<br><br><hr>
