Back in the '50s, many horror flicks had some sort of advertising gimmick to try and make them stand out. The Screaming Skull's was that the producers were supposedly offering a free coffin and burial service to anyone who died of fright during the movie's climax. There's no documentation regarding if they ever had to make good on the offer, though one wonders if it would have stood up if you died of *boredom*... which was far more likely. Slow-paced and stupefyingly predictable, with a plot "twist" you could see coming from the opening scene and an ending that won't shock anyone who's ever read Poe, give this one a miss.
