Early sixties teen-oriented horror/sci-fi flick with the usual rock-and-roll and bikinis, but they substitute a dune-buggy for the usual hot-rod. Arch Hall, Sr., (a.k.a. William Watters) was convinced his unattractive and untalented son was the next Elvis. He stuck him in some sleazy movies and had him warble bland, pre-British Invasion songs. America was unimpressed. But, now we have some good midnight movies. Richard Kiel says "caveman-y" things like "Shtemloe" and "Eegah" while lusting after Arch's girl (who was much cuter in "The Sadist"). As with all unrequited love, tragedy follows, but don't worry. Arch, Jr., takes us out with a song or two. Thrill to the gratuitous dune buggy scene! Marvel at Arch's GREASY skyscraping pompadour!
