This is a fairly decent western. William Shatner plays two twin half breed brothers. Johnny Moon is trying to live as a white man while his twin brother Notah Moon has become a renegade Comanche war chief who leads attacks on the whites. Johnny then gets into trouble because he is mistaken for this twin brother. The film deals with the similarities and differences between the Comanche and white society and the problems of people who fit in neither of the two worlds. There is enough gunfire to satisfy the western movie fans. It is a great chance to see William Shatner is something besides Star Trek. Joseph Cotten gives a good performance as a western sheriff who also has a range war about to break out in his town in addition to the Moon brothers and the Indian problems.
There is an unrealistic lynch movie scene at the start of the movie. The lynch mob on foot catches Johnny Moon on his horse. They tie his hands behind his back but don't knock if off his horse. Johnny gets away when they have his hands tied behind his back and a rope around his neck. That was one lynch mob that needed remedial education.
The evil twin Notah Moon never wears a shirt in the movie but never gets a sun tan in the bright southwestern sunshine.
