Its humor is very innocent and cute.  This is the kind of film you appreciate because it was made in a time before there were sex and beer jokes.  It's more of a physical comedy, but some of the dialogue is hilarious in its context.  This is one Shirley Temple gem that is unfortunately overlooked.
