It's a fairly straightforward murder mystery, with some intriguing (for the 1930s) technology: big-screen television and the ability to easily send/receive signals around the world.  But the title is the best part of the film. The plot is creaky and slow-moving, and the acting is quite wooden. There are a few twists at the end, but they come at you from absolutely nowhere, and are ludicrous to boot.
