This is the era where a gorilla was thought to be a vicious slavering predator of any jungle, including non-native South America, but I guess using a guy in a gorilla suit for a few brief scenes was so much quicker and cheaper than utilising stop motion sfx of a red demon Succarat that was mentioned, who I imagine to be more like a Jurassic Park raptor. Nope, this is a 1h 05mins suspend your belief mercifully short movie. Best supporting actor goes to the lovely Barbara Payton,s brassiere, which would have to carry a Health & Safety warning today.
